Low pressure over Arabian Sea may intensify in 24 hours

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday that the low-pressure low-pressure area lies in the west central Arabian Sea with associated cyclonic circulation.

The IMO stated, “The well-marked low-pressure region is associated with the cyclonic circulation related to the West Central Arabian Sea. A depression is likely to concentrate in the same region during the next 24 hours.”

The IMD stated that the low-pressure area could move northwest and then west-southwest during the next 48 hours.

“The well-marked low-pressure area is likely to move northwest along the coasts of South-Oman and East Yemen during the next 48 hours,” the IMD said.
